Spring 2018

Planting Season

Photos by Daniel Bedell

We planted over a thousand of pepper seedlings in the Spring of 2018 with the help of our farm crew, volunteers, and the Escoffier Culinary School in Boulder, Colorado. Our unique pepper varieties––Criolla Sella, Hot Portugal, and Cayenne to name a few, grow all summer long and will be fermented after harvest into our Picaflor Hot Sauces and Pepper Flakes.

Harvest Season 2018

Pepper Crop

Photos by Daniel Bedell

Pepper harvest happens in late September and into October. Our community came together right before the frost hit to harvest the fields. We packed up hundreds of pounds of peppers. We’re thankful for our partnerships with neighboring like-minded farms and cannot wait for cozy fall days spent fermenting.
